I sent photos over to Richard and he gave me a quote for it. Next day, he  came and fixed it. Richard was very friendly and explained everything to us. He did the job quickly at an affordable price. His work was clean and he did a professional job of fixing it. He even explained why the door had jammed and how I could prevent it from happening in the future.

I was under pressure to say ‘yes’ to an immediate repair by the other company and stalled them by asking if I had time to call my partner to check finances.  Google came up with Door Doctor and I rang for a random quote for what the other guy had said - Richard quoted £250/300 for what had been quoted at £500 (as a one off special offer!) and said he would be happy to take a look.  I quickly got rid of the other company and Richard arrived as promised to check out the job.  Clearly knows what he’s talking about and, more importantly, he was totally honest and fair and suggested I tried a specific diy approach before committing to big expense.  He was right - diy approach worked perfectly and saved me being unnecessarily ripped off.  That meant Richard didn’t actually get the job as it was unnecessary, but I have his number in my phone for next time.  I won’t bother looking anywhere else.  Thank you, Richard!
